Aleksey Morozov, who was expected to return to the NHL for the 2006-07 season, has decided to remain in Russia, according to a report in Soviet Sport.

"Up until a certain moment, I badly wanted to return to the NHL," Morozov said. "But recently, I realized that I didn't want to move anywhere."

He added that, "the likelihood of me playing in the NHL is nonexistent," while acknowledging he had considered returning after spending the past two winters in Kazan.
