Minnesota Wild
The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced its 2006-07 preseason schedule, which will consist of six games, including three road contests and three home games at Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota will face the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues in preseason action.
The Wild opens its preseason schedule with home games against Detroit on Tuesday, September 19 and St. Louis on Thursday, September 21. The club will then play three road games in five nights starting at Chicago on Sunday, September 24 followed by a match against the Red Wings on Wednesday, September 27 and a contest against the Blues on Thursday, September 28. Minnesota will complete its preseason schedule at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, September 30 against the Blackhawks.
This will mark the first time Minnesota has faced Detroit in preseason action. The Wild is 1-2-2 against Chicago in five previous preseason meetings and 1-1-0 against St. Louis.
All games will be broadcast on WCCO Radio (830 AM) the Minnesota Wild’s official radio flagship station. Single game tickets for Minnesota Wild preseason games at Xcel Energy Center will go on sale in late August and regular season home single game tickets will go on sale in September.
